As a painter Karen Foss uses the universal language of line, repetition and colour. Initially inspired by the architecture and colour in the local environment of Penwith, painting takes on its own life in the studio, its direction being conditioned by continual response to the work in hand at any given time. This often results in paintings in series.
Karen mainly works with acrylic on canvas but also makes reliefs and three dimensional works with recycled cardboard.
