The studios, offices and workshops here are available on a relatively short-term basis while we move through the planning and development stages of our major capital re-build which will be completed in phases. The buildings had been empty for about two years before we acquired the freehold and moved in during 2005, so we’ve done some temporary refurbishment to the existing classrooms and offices.

Our intention is to refurbish or redevelop the existing buildings on site to provide accommodation for most of Cornwall's key strategic cultural and creative industries projects, integrating up to 100 creative workspaces with business support and information, advice and guidance services for practitioners and creative businesses second to none in the country.  We've been working for several years with CPR Regeneration, the European Convergence programme, Cornwall Council and the Regional Development Agency on proposals for a major capital scheme and we expect to submit this for planning approval very soon.  If this is successful then we expect to implement the scheme in several phases, starting at the end of 2010.  When the capital scheme starts, there will inevitably be some disruption to day to day activity on site, but we will stay open throughout the build programme and most existing spaces will stay as they are.
