I work from my own memories and experiences, inspired by present events and places I have been.
Painting is like a magic tool; I don't start with a fixed idea and as the pictures evolve, objects and places from my history become apparent in a mysterious way. I enhance the feelings and atmospheres from my experiences, and bring them to life through the painting. Allowing the paint to be suggestive in the way it develops, this helps me to be imaginative within the process.
