In my paintings I have been searching for a soft and sensual surface that can reflect a refracted light. A light trying to break through: clouds, mist, the dark or to let my paintings reflect the time when light goes down at dusk and objects begins to disappear. I feel that these external spaces mirror more intimate internal spaces that behold their own mystery to me. I would like my paintings to reveal something about our visual relationship with the actual, perceived world in all its dynamic flux, but also something of a mythic and poetic space, of a possibility beyond the materialistic.
